PhD defence announcement

Dear NISIS members,

You are cordially invited to attend the public defense of Adrián Rodríguez Iglesias who will present his PhD thesis titled “The Abbreviated Quran among Mudejars and Moriscos: Textual Typology and Contrastive Study” (in Spanish).

The defense will take place on Thursday, February 15th, at 1:00 PM in the Agnietenkapel of the University of Amsterdam (Oudezijds Voorburgwal 229-231, Amsterdam).

Given that the ceremony commences promptly at 1:00 PM, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the commencement. Following the defense, there will be a reception at Het Groene Paleis (Rokin 65, Amsterdam).
