The Autumn School ‘The Qur’an and Its Interpretive Communities’ 2023 is a collaboration with the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and takes place at the VU from 23 till 26 October 2023.

This year’s Midyear Meeting focuses on possible careers outside of academia. Three speakers will share their experiences across various sectors in the Netherlands, showing how they have tackled the transition into the professional world, but also how professional world can benefit from your specialized knowledge and research skills. This session will be followed by workshops which will focus on specific skills and tools that can help you plan your future career. The meeting take place in Utrecht on 2 February 2024.

The NISIS Workshop Day ‘Islamic Philosophy?’ is a collaboration with Radboud University, NijmegenIt will take place on Friday 12 April, 2024. More information about this event can be found here. To register, click here.

The NISIS Spring School will (most probably) take place at Lausanne University during the Spring of 2024, from 4 till 7 June, 2024. Link to call for papers and registrations will be published a.s.a.p.

The course “Advanced Readings in Arabic” is offered in the first semester of the academic year. This year, the course will be given by Dr. Pieter Coppens at the VU Universiteit.
